Wedding Ceremony

You can have your wedding in any place that you desire - a chapel, park, beach or even your own backyard. Just be sure you get the appropriate permission to use public land or beach beforehand.

You may already have in mind the exact type of ceremony you would like to have, down to the songs, poems and wording or you may have no idea where to start. You can have as much or as little input as you like, I can provide you with knowledge, resources and a creative touch to create the ceremony that is right for the both of you. Friends and Family may be included in your ceremony by way of readings, poems of the the talented they may like to sing for you. If you are planning and outdoor wedding there are many things to consider, from the sunset/sunrise times, weather options, what if it rains or is your wedding in the middle of summer when it is very hot and humid. There are options to help you and your guests be more relaxed and comfortable. Whatever your requirements, we can prepare your entire ceremony via email and telephone with a rehearsal a few days beforehand. Or if you would prefer face to face we can do that too.

Vow Renewal / Commitment Ceremony

Renewal of Vows

Couples often choose to renew their vows on a significant anniversary, such as their 10th, 25th, or 50th anniversay. Sometimes couples get married overseas or interstate and would like a ceremony on their return or on an anniversay to include family and friends who missed out.

Commitments

A commitment ceremony is public declaration of LOVE. It may be between a couple who do not wish to have a legal ceremony, eg. same sex couples or those who are legally unable to marry.

Both renewal and commitment ceremonies are similiar to a wedding ceremony, without the legal components. There is no official certificate to sign, although a "Renewal of Vows" or "Commitment Certificate" will be presented.

Name Giving Ceremony

Name giving is a non religiousway to welcome a child into the world and introduce them to friends and family. Many parents prefer to leave the decision about religion to when they are old enough to make an informed decision. Naming Ceremonies are conducted when the child is a few months old or combined with their 1st birthday or incorporated into your wedding day, sometimes children will change their surname on the marriage of a couple in a blended family, and this 'renaming' can be part of the marriage ceremony.

You can have naming a naming ceremony at any age, some who change their name in adulthood, choose to have a ceremony to celebrate this event. There are many beautiful poems, readings and rituals including "planting a tree, bury a capsule, rose petal, bubbles and more. As with all ceremonies it is important to create a personal and meaningful ceremony that is as formal or informal as you wish.
