I was born in redcliffe QLD and although I have lived in almost every part of Australia at some point in my life, most of it was at Redcliffe's lovely beach side.
When I left school, I proceeded to a career as a chef which led me to start my first business " Bon Appetit Catering". We specialised in weddings and I loved helping brides with their special day. During those days I did a beauty certificate so that I could help brides with their make up and nails etc, so if something happened on the day like breaking a nail or a few tears that didn't help their make up.
As my 4 children (Rebecca, Lisa, Samantha and Aaron) were growing up I studied Natural Therapies, metaphysical science and grew emotionally and spiritually.
I then opened Yvonne's Natural Therapy & Beauty where I continued to help others, especially in a spiritual sense, by way of treatments and courses. I also became a director with BNI Brisbane (Business Network International) giving me the opportunity to help others in small business to grow their business.
My desicion to become a Marriage Celebrant stemmed from a desire to use skills I have learnt from previous careers in a positive, enjoyable and flexible way. Planning nd celebrating my eldest daughters wedding in 2006, I was able to see the joy a celebrant brings and receives in being apart of such a special occasion.
What other career gives the opportunity of public speaking, attention to detail, great organisation skills with such a happy and joyful outcome of two people declaring their love for each other, before their friends and family whether it be a traditional ceremony/wedding or a not so traditional ceremony/wedding.
Celebrant Services
You will put an incredible amount of time, effort, thought and planning into one of the most important chapters of your life. You can be assured that I will do the same when it comes to your ceremony. I will meet with you both prior to your marriage or other occasion, primarily to get to know you and what you are looking for in your ceremony, as well as prepare the legal documents, which later I will lodge on your behalf. I will provide you with a client resource booklet, which will also be made available to you via internet. Your marriage certificate will be neatly printed, as will other 'appreciationcertificates' as required. Your ceremony will also be printed in full, as a keepsake.
Depending on your particular needs, I will also make available a professional PA system, CD player, Table and tablecloth, as well as conduct a rehearsal, either at the actual venue (preferred) or a suitable alternative. Included in my fees are travel cost (within 100km radius of Brisbane) to and from your ceremony
